「網路公民素養」 課程簡介

網路現象地圖 網路的出現, 讓資訊複製成本降至零。 我們正在走向一個 「資訊爆炸、 注意力稀有」 的透明社會。 網路時代的公民需要具備一些遠比軟體操作能力更重要的素養, 例如對於他人言論自由的尊重、 對於自身隱私的重視、 挑戰智慧財產權的注意力經濟概念... 等等。 對網路公民而言, 「搜尋」 是極重要的能力; 對一個民主社會而言, 「自由文化」 與 「透明化政府」 具有高度的價值。 本課程探討這些網路公民應有的素養, 並對於許多網路時事與現象, 提出批判性的思考。

Netizen Literacy

The Internet lowers the cost of copying information to zero. We are heading towards a transparent society where information is overabundant and human attention is scarce. There are aspects of netizen literacy far more important than the ability to operate software, such as the respect for other people's freedom of speech, the awareness of threats to one's own privacy, the idea of "attention economy" that challenges "intellectual property right", etc. The ability to search is crucial to a netizen, as are the free culture movement and the transparency of the government to a democratic society. We investigate these aspects of netizen literacy and engage in critical discussions about Internet events and phenomena in this class.
