Graduate Institute of Biotechnology has been changed to Graduate
Institute of Biochemical Sciences and Technology in order to fit the
research discipline of this Institute precisely.
This
Institute covers graduate programs for both Master and Ph.D. degrees.
Graduate students are encouraged to participate in research and teaching
activities as well as industrial collaboration. In addition to graduate
courses offered by 7 faculty members in this Institute, our teaching program
is also supported by more than 20 faculty members in the Department of
Applied Chemistry, Department of Environmental Engineering and Management,
Agricultural Research Institute and Taiwan Agricultural Chemicals and Toxic
Substances Research Institute etc.
The curriculum and research area of the Institute
focuses on three major topics: Plant biotechnology, Bioprocess and
Biomedicine. With expert support in bioorganic/bioanalytical chemistry and
environmental sciences, students learn how to strengthen their research
background and broaden their knowledge. The teaching
objective of this Institute emphasizes
to train students to build their ability for independent
research and knowledge related to biotechnology. This unique strength
