Objective:

To introduce to the students the concept of wireless communication systems, cellular Systems and wireless networks, Wireless Propagation Models, multiple access scheme, and performance of wireless communication systems.



Prerequisites: Digital Communications

n       2. Signal Frequency Analysis and FDMA, Signal Sampling and TDMA, Spreading Spectrum and CDMA

n       3. Wireless Propagation Models: Large-Scale Path-Loss, Small-Scale Fading and Multipath Fading Models.

n       4. Wireless Cellular Communication Systems and Networks

n       5. Case Study: GSM, WLAN 802.11(WiFi), WCDMA and WiMAX (802.16)
