    摘要(中) 摘 要
    過去一般咸認地震引起之垂直向分量較水平向分量小,但隨地震記錄器廣泛設置與通訊科技日益發達,近年於數個主要地震中,皆記錄到顯著之垂直向地震。例如:在1994年,美國芮氏規模6.6的北嶺地震;1995年,日本芮氏規模6.9的阪神地震,皆有與水平向相當之垂直向地震,乃至1999年台灣發生芮氏規模7.3的921集集地震,亦可發現在接近震央位置的區域垂直向地表加速度是相當顯著的。由於,在921集集地震中,可發現部分測站測得的地震,含有較高頻的能量。因此,對於含有較高頻能量的地震發生時,其對橋樑的可能產生之影響,值得吾人進一步探討。
    一般而言,垂直地表的頻率內涵所顯現的主要能量區相較於同地點之水平地震者發生於較高頻的頻率區。因此,顯著垂直地震的發生同時也隱含發生高頻分量地震的可能性變大。本研究目的主要在探討高頻地震作用下,橋樑結構之線性反應。所探討的因素,包括高頻地震對橋面加速度和橋柱受力之影響。研究所使用的地震資料為921集集地震和調整其時間間隔所產生的(虛擬)較高頻地震。同時為了解模擬之高頻反應是否合理,本研究以連續解和不連續解有限元素相互比較分析結果。最後,本論文選擇一實際橋樑進行模擬,以期了解高頻地震對實際尺寸橋樑可能之潛在影響。
    摘要(英) Abstract
    In the past, people thought the vertical components of ground motion are relatively small in relation to the horizontal components of the ground motion. In 921 chi-chi earthquake, some ground motion records showed significant amount of wave energy within the high-frequency region. Therefore the effect of the high-frequency earthquake on the bridge responses may not be negligible. Normally, the vertical components of ground motion contain more high-frequency components than the corresponding horizontal records. Bridges are structures which might be vulnerable to vertical components due to its relatively low stiffness in the vertical vibrations. As a result, the possibility of potential damages of bridges caused by significant earthquakes becomes higher when the frequency contents of the earthquake contain significant amount of energy within high frequency region.
    This study investigates linearly seismic responses of bridge structures under high-frequency earthquakes. The earthquake data used in the study are the records of chi-chi earthquake and its high-frequency counterpart obtained by adjusting time step, and specific velocity pulses. To understand whether it is reasonable to use a traditional FEM software to study the seismic response of structures under the action of earthquakes, the analytic solution based on continuous formulation is compared to those obtained by SAP2000.
